Amendment

  1. A modification signed by the parties to an earlier Agreement so as to add, delete, and/or revise terms or conditions of the earlier Agreement.
  2. In the context of a document on file with the Secretary of State, an amendment can be filed to change the name of the company, the Registered Agent for the company, the stock authorized by a corporation or any other provision in the Certificate of Incorporation or Certificate of Formation for an LLC.
